It always was moderated, but I always check and approve everything except for spam or trolls, unless it is a funny troll :)

Regarding font cache - just configure fontconfig. E.g. I put c:/tmp/fontcache in fonts.conf and everything works beautifully.

lavf seems to be broken, as some mkv files play with incorrect FPS, i.e. 24 FPS instead of 23.976. Also, it displays 0bpp instead of 24bpp:

VIDEO: [H264] 1280x720 0bpp 24.000 fps 0.0 kbps ( 0.0 kbyte/s)

-demuxer mkv recognizes it correctly:

VIDEO: [avc1] 1280x720 24bpp 23.976 fps 0.0 kbps ( 0.0 kbyte/s)

Is it a known problem? It works fine with your build from March 3rd.

So, the thing that mplayer cashes the fonts every time and makes this as if starts 2 times is in fact a problem with cashing some font(s) [as some on on irc channel told me). Of course I could not find out what font was the problem on my machine, but I was lucky enough to guess it.
So, now is all good and beautiful. Thank u so much for everything.

Ps. is it possible to make a detailed tutorial about compiling mplayer?

I tried deleting the 698e8de9c79e614b8d6a96b5ce9682e6-mipsel.cache-2 in fontconfig and letting mplayer build a new one in case for some reason it was corrupted. It generated a new cache file, but still always wanted to make a new one each time a movie was played.

I did like tomba4 said and renamed the cache file generated by an older mplayer (Sherpya-SVN-r28126-4.2.5) in the %user%\fontconfig\cache directory to the new name this version uses in AppData\fontconfig\698e8de9c79e614b8d6a96b5ce9682e6-mipsel.cache-2 and it worked! It no longer tries to generate another one (Thanks tomba4!)

So, it looks like this version is looking for the file in the right place. When it first creates the cache file it must be generating a broken cache file. If I'm the only person having this problem I could send the .cache-2 file my player generates, if it would be any help in finding the problem.
