Fixed the long standing bug with fontconfig, where it constantly regenerates your font cache if the computer is on Daylight Savings Time.

Disable threading when playing MPEG-2 streams, fixed glitches/crashes.

Built with x264 r1143.

MPlayer Shortlog:

  • Ordered Chapters support in demux_mkv. To use, pass -demuxer mkv to the mplayer commandline. It has better file support than the support currently in the libavformat demuxer, but is more experimental and has a few noticeable glitches when it switches streams. Some releases like [Ayako] Valkyria Chronicles only load their referenced segments when using demux_mkv, so feel free to test. -noordered-chapters can be used to not use them when using demux_mkv.
  • Make -fixed-vo the default, avoids recreating the video window when switching video streams.
  • Improved relative seeking
  • Make mmsh:// an alias for mmshttp://
  • Subtitle demuxing fixes to the MPEG demuxer
  • Keep fullscreen state if window is recreated (when playing multiple files, for example)
  • libass memory leak/access fixes
  • OSD seekbar display changes
  • More FourCCs

FFmpeg-mt Shortlog:

  • libswscale now supports an alpha channel in most colorspaces.
  • RV40 decoding fixes.
  • Support raw TrueHD files.
  • Support up to 3 substreams in TrueHD streams.
  • FLAC encoding/decoding fixes.
  • Support muxing/demuxing of TrueHD in matroska.
  • Add SSE4 detection support.
  • Support DVD subtitles in mov/mp4 as created by Nero
  • Fixed demuxing of files with more than 20 streams.

x264 Shortlog:

  • Assembly optimizations for SAD.
  • Faster CABAC RDO.
  • CAVLC optimizations.
  • Several other CABAC optimizations.
  • SSE4 optimizations for SAD, Hadamard.
  • SSE2 optimizations for SSIM.

Thank you very much for your great works and new builds.

  2. Nijiko says:

The problem I mentioned last time is fixed in new versions. Thank you!

  3. topolinik says:

Great work! It is now a while since i always get your mplayer exec for my windows box, thank you.
Now, can you provide some more details about your build environment? Are you using mingw? Some Intel compiler? MS compiler?
And can you host the svn-tarball used for your build? This way, one can also try to build the software on his own (oh, what a fun!!!) adding or removing some libs…

    • Kovensky says:

I use Debian’s mingw32 cross compiler for compiling, with a self built w32api and mingwrt. The MS compiler doesn’t compile ffmpeg btw, it isn’t C99 compliant.

I used to put the sources up, but I’m being lazy nowadays :/
I’ll probably set up a git repository somewhere…

  4. gebeleizis says:

    works great!!! Thank u!

  5. tomba4 says:

This still has the bug I mentioned earlier: some .mkv files are recognized incorrectly as 24 instead of 23.976 FPS :/

  6. freex says:

Hello, I have a minor problem with this build.
Using directx output, start “mplayer *” to play all movies in folder. Then press “f” for fullscreen and wait untill first video finishes (or seek). Instead of next video, there will be only black screen visible. Pressing “f” again fixes it.

  7. Nijiko says:

Is there any chance to support SONY PS2 ADPCM Audio?

  8. Zitz says:

Maybe I’m missing something basic, but how do I take screenshots? I tried messing with the config file, but can’t seem to get it to work.

  9. Bregor says:

Have you plans about Linux/OSX builds?

  10. Guti says:

As usual, thank you very much for your builds.
    They are really appreciated.

  11. noel says:

Hi – thank you for this wonderful build! Would it be possible for you to also post a built ffmpeg-mt.exe with these?

  12. Maxim says:

Can u build winvidix modules ?
    nvidia at least:)

    please

    • Kovensky says:

winvidix is compiled in, but you need the dhahelper.sys driver.
I don’t know how to get / install it though since I don’t use winvidix :(
